The Moulin Rouge Museum and Cultural Center, Inc. is proud to announce upcoming events to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the opening of the Moulin Rouge Hotel and Casino, and the 50th anniversary of the Moulin Rouge Agreement Press Conference which was held at the historic site on March 25, 1960.

The history of the Moulin Rouge has been deeply ingrained into the lives and memories of many who live, and have lived, in Las Vegas. Your memories of the Moulin Rouge are vital to our mission; if you would like to share your recollections of the history of the Moulin Rouge and what it has meant to you, the community in West Las Vegas, or the history of discrimnation and civil rights in Las Vegas and southern Nevada, please contact us. You can also offer financial sponsorship to support our efforts to rekindle the energy, glamour, and mystery of the Moulin Rouge Hotel and Casino by volunteering your time or donating to the museum.

[7/21/10] Important! Call for Support: The Moulin Rouge needs your help! On Wednesday, July 21 at 1pm the City Council of the City of Las Vegas will hear our appeal to prevent the demolition of the Moulin Rouge. It is possible that the fate of this historic structure will be decided at this meeting. Your presence and show of support has never been more important! You can help to save the Moulin Rouge!

[5/15/10] On Saturday May 15, at noon at the Ethel Pearson Community Center friends and supporters of the Moulin Rouge Museum and Cultural Center will particiapate in a reenactment of the famous Moulin Rouge Agreement press conference photograph. Click Here to read the Press Release.

[11/11/09] Today we are proud to launch the Books shopping page which includes both volumes of Richard B. Taylor's "Moulin Rouge Hotel History". The author has gratiously worked with the museum to arrange for the sale of these publications. Proceeds will benefit the musuem's collection and program goals through the creation of a sustaining fund. Click Here to shop for books.
